Roof and gutter work was completed at a townhouse in Libertyville. Using Certain-teed Landmark asphalt shingles- Color: Weathered wood and 6" aluminum gutters and 3x4" aluminum downspouts - Color: White.
We did the roofing with Tamko heritage architectural shingles. Sheet metal work, the counter flashing, and copper dormers on the front elevations. Gutters and Downspouts were done with Aluminum K-Style 5" gutters and 3x4 downspouts. The fascia, soffit, and frieze are cedar.
This slate roof needed a bunch of TLC. We contracted to replace a bunch of the missing and broken slates as well as install new snow guards to protect the gutters and the landscaping below. We repaired and replaced the damaged gutters and then added some additional copper downspouts to alleviate some of the water issues. This roof should be maintenance free for years to come.
The previous roof was a cedar shake roof that was originally installed in 2001. It lasted approx. 16 years.
The new roof is the Multi Slate synthetic roof from Davinci Roofscapes. It should be the last roof the Parsons ever own and they can expect this to last the next 50 years and be no maintenance – compared to a cedar roof that has maintenance issues with broken cedar shakes an algae/mold growth.
And the aesthetics of the Davinci dramatically increased the curb appeal.
Along with the new roof, we installed oversized 6” k style aluminum gutters.
